“The Cursing Cure” by Dr. Jane Thielemann-Downs is a very good book.  It is funny and has good pictures.  The story is about a boy who says too many bad words, and he, unfortunately, knows every single bad word.  He gets his mouth washed out and he sits in time out.  Finally, Miss Latecia von Schlumper cast a spell and all the bad words were sucked out of his head.  After that he learned a lot of new vocabulary, everyone liked him more, and he was very happy.

I don’t know if this book would stop someone from cursing, but it does have some good suggestions.  I especially liked the suggestion about increasing your vocabulary.  Instead of saying a bad word, you can say, “I feel annoyed, irritated and completely inflamed!”

I think everyone would like “The Cursing Cure” by Dr. Jane Thielemann-Downs, even if they don’t use bad language.
