“This is a book that I can read by myself.  I knew all of the good guys in the book like Superman but I had never heard of Mongul. He is an alien who came in on his big spaceship and he wants to take over Earth.  Superman goes to fight him and tries to get him out of here.  My favorite part was when he pushes the falling building up so it doesn’t fall on anyone.  I liked that picture.”

Parent’s comments:

“Superman: Superman versus Mongul” is an “I Can Read!,” Level 2 book which is good for developing readers.  The story was interesting enough to hold my son’s attention and he enjoyed the accompanying illustrations.  This is a good beginner book for young ones interested in superheroes.
