“Redwine Hill: The Secrets at Primevil Asylum,” by L. L. Stolmeier, is a really creepy and morbid book.  It is also pretty good.  When Charlotte C. Carrion turned sixteen she started going crazy.  Soon a Collector and his two disgusting sidekicks, Polo and Seed, took her away to the nearest and worst asylum, Redwine Hill.  It was filled with insane young people.  What is causing almost all sixteen-year-olds to go insane?  No one knows.  Will Charlotte be able to find out?

When I say this book was really creepy and morbid, I mean REALLY.  Appendages, eyeballs, gushing blood, and chopped up body bits were on almost every page.  This is not bedtime reading.  Charlotte and her boyfriend Jared were pretty cozy with each other, shared a bed and kissed a lot.

The plot was more than just creep and gore.  Charlotte had to explore the creepiest corners of the asylum to figure out what was going on.  Charlotte had to figure out who was good and who was evil.  Will Charlotte be able to save future generations from this horrible fate?

I would recommend “Redwine Hill: The Secrets at Primevil Asylum,” by L. L. Stolmeier, to people in their teens.  This book is not for the faint-of-heart or squeamish.  People who like gore and horror and romance will probably like this book.  This is the first book in a series and left off on a cliff-hanger.
