“If You’re Hoppy” is an adapted version of the well-loved song “If you’re happy and you know it.”  In this book children are encouraged to hop, hop, and hop!  Young readers are given an enjoyable story about what hops, slops, growls and flaps.   It even discusses slimy and scaly and mean but, never mind.  Complete with wonderful illustrations and fun for all, “If You’re Hoppy” is sure to delight even the oldest of readers!

What Hailey had to say:

“If you’re hoppy and a frog, you’re a bunny!  It was great; I want to read it again!  The bunny is sliding on its belly in the water and stretching their toes out!  The pig is sloppy!  Or a monkey!  He’s funny.  He’s squeezing his eyes but he’s not.  The dog, the bear and my tummy growl!  Grrr, all of these are growling!  If you’re flappy you’re a bird!  Big and little birds and little butterflies!  Aww, so cute.”

[The end of the book re-caps each phrase, if you’re hoppy and you know it you’re a frog.  Hailey would yell back the answer each time.]

What Mom thought:

What an adorable book!  I did not know what to expect with this book when we chose to review it.  I can honestly say I would love to go buy multiple copies and give them to all the children in my life.  It would make a great Easter gift!  This book was so much fun to read.  It was very interactive.  Hailey and I would go back and forth “reading” the book.  If I started a sentence she would finish it.  She quite often got up and hopped around while we read this book.  The illustrations are clear, colorful, big and fun!  I really enjoyed everything about this book and would recommend it for children ages 2-5.  “If You’re Hoppy” is a wonderful addition to our library!
