“On Shapes and More,” shows children what shapes can become.  Circles become balls and the number nine.  A triangle becomes an ice-cream cone and a bow.  A square becomes a sandbox and a window.  A rectangle becomes a chocolate bar and a door.

The children in the book who make the different designs are attractive to Parish.  They wear bright clothes.  The drawings are simple.  The colors are bold.

This is a wonderful book to peak children’s excitement about learning.  Parish is now making different objects out of shapes.  I do wish that the pages were made out of a material that Parish could use a dry-erase marker on.  However, grab some scrap paper and crayons.  This will make your child create with shapes.  “On Shapes and More” is perfect for preschoolers.
