When I got “Vampire Crush” in the mail, I was really excited about reading it. Not only did the summary that I read, both on the back of the book and online, seem really interesting, but the cover looked really cool as well! At the beginning, I was not really all that into the book, but as I kept on reading, the book kept on getting better and better!

This book begins with Sophie McGee, the main character, dreaming about becoming the editor-in-chief of her high-school newspaper. She knows that the position is hers, unless Lindsey gets it. Sophie knows that she has to do something big if she wants to become the new editor-in-chief, so she is quite dismayed when Mr. Armado, the newspaper advisor, tells her and Lindsey that the editor-in-chief will be chosen based on the interviews that they get of the new kids. Sophie hates this assignment. Why should she care about any of these new kids when she could be exposing things about the way the cafeteria workers make the school lunches? As Sophie begins to do her research, she realizes that there is something off about these eight new kids, well seven new kids and James Hallowell, her ex-enemy from when she was a child. Then, as time goes on, Sophie begins to have feelings for James, but how can she have a relationship with him when he’s a vampire! Then Vlad decides that she is his next target… like that’s not creepy or anything. What’s a girl to do when there’s a crazy vampire after her, and all she wants is James Hallowell and a position as editor-in-chief? Is that too much to ask for?

Every time I read this book, and I’ve read it three times, it just seems more amazing! I’m never able to put it down! “Vampire Crush” is a book that I feel most people would definitely enjoy. Not only did it hold my attention once I got into it, it made sure that I wanted to read it over and over again!
