Todd’s TV
Madison: “The TV can talk!? How does he grow much closer? Why are they really tall? They are taller than the TV, they can’t even see it. Do they have to sit on the carpet to see it? (Questions regarding the parents’ height on page where TV decides to adopt Todd) Why did they shut the TV off?” “This is a great, great, great story! He was playing with the TV. He took the TV everywhere. The TV talked. I like it, but in the end the TV shut off. The TV took too much time.” Mom: This is a wonderful, adorable book! It’s insightful in regards to TV parenting. My children really enjoyed it. The moral of the story is great. Madison didn’t completely understand the first time around, but requested to read the story multiple times. As you can see above, she had many questions. She enjoys reading the story about the TV. This book is fresh and new. I have not seen another story with the same type of moral being taught. The girls really enjoyed our reading time with this book, which makes a book worth it! I love when they ask questions or want to re-read the books we have. I would happily recommend “Todd’s TV” by James Proimos to any parent with a child 3 – 8 years of age. |
