“I liked that this book was about gardens.  We have a garden too.  We don’t have one right now because there is snow.  We planted tomato seeds inside though and green pepper seeds.  Then when it is warm we will plant them outside.  I liked in the book when they went to the store to buy seeds.  I like helping to pick out what we are going to have in our garden too.  I liked best when he had all kinds of worms and he was holding them up in the air. “

“Little Critter: A Green, Green Garden” is a great book to get your child excited about helping out in the garden.  As it is a “My First” book in the “I Can Read!” series of books it has a lot of repetition and basic words to help aid in the learning to read process.
