The story is about a little girl named Stacy that takes a train to school.  On her way she stops to play with the kittens.  Her mother helps her learn how to take the train by herself.

I like the pictures in the book.  Stacy is pretty and has long hair.  I wouldn’t take the train to school but it is good to know how to take the train.

“Stacy Takes the Train to School” by Mary R. Lupa is an educational book for young children to learn how to take public transportation by themselves.  Laura enjoyed it and was able to resonate with things like playing with the cats and pushing the button to cross a street.  The writing was simple enough for a 6-year-old to read and understand, however, too young to take public transportation by herself.
