When I received “The Power of Six,” I was so, so excited to read it! Although I had not actually read the book that comes before it in the series, “I Am Number Four,” I saw the movie, and that had made me so incredibly excited to read this book! As soon as I started, I knew that there was no way at all that this book would ever be able to disappoint me in any way at all!

This book starts off in the point of view of Number Six. Her Cêpan and she are living in a convent in Spain, far removed from the outside world. But they are not far enough for Marina (Number Six’s chosen name). She feels people watching, and she knows that the Mogadorians are looking for her. Then she hears about John Smith’s, aka Number Four, doings and she knows that the Mogadorians are close. Simultaneously, the book is also following the travels of John Smith, Number Six, and Sam as they try and find the other numbers, get stronger, and escape the Mogs once and for all.

This book was so amazing and I definitely cannot wait for the third book in this series. The way the authors write these books completely draws you in and makes it so that you never want to stop reading them! I started reading “the Power of Six,” and then when I looked up after about a two-hundred pages, I had been reading for almost three hours! I didn’t know where the time had gone! It had definitely felt like much less time!

I would definitely recommend “The Power of Six” to anyone who enjoyed the first book, “I Am Number Four,” or anyone who enjoyed the movie “I Am Number Four.” I never read the first book, but I saw the movie, and “The Power of Six” has definitely become one of my favorite books of all time!
