“The Last Day of Kindergarten” is a brightly illustrated book about the joy of being in kindergarten and getting ready to move to first grade. It can be scary for children, but the author did a great job of capturing new adventures.

Zoey:

“I loved this book. Kindergarten was my favorite grade. I wish I got a graduation cap; it would have been so much fun. I miss my teachers but they really helped us get ready for first grade. I still visit my old teachers and they are so proud of me. Now that I am in first grade I know the rules and learned how to follow directions. We get to partner up with kindergarteners once a week in my school and help them. It is so much fun.”

Nana:

Zoey has read this book so many times. She talks about what she learned in kindergarten and how much more she knows now that she is in first grade. “The Last Day of Kindergarten” is easy to read and the pictures are like ones you would put in a school photo album.
