This book was based on the story of “The Three Little Pigs” and the big bad wolf, but the story is called “The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Boar” – it’s like the opposite.

There were three wolves, Goldy Wolf, Robin Wolf, and Wolf 'n' boots. Each of them went on an adventure in different places. Wolf 'n' boots figured out that a witch had cast a spell on 13 robins so they laid eggs every day. So he made nests for the robins to lay their eggs. Every day he would go to the nest and put the eggs in his sack and then fried the eggs to feed the poor. Goldy Wolf built a fort to keep him safe from the cold; then he met the Big Bad Boar. He told him to come out or he would charge. The wolf claimed, “Not by the hair of my chin!” So he charged and Goldy Wolf jumped out of his house then the boar got a bump on his forehead and looked like a unicorn! Goldy Wolf told Robin Wolf about the boar, so they got on a tree above the boars and Goldy Wolf told the plan. They threw rocks at the boar without the bump and he kept saying “stop” to the other, but he said he must have been feeling things.

There are many more adventures they went on in the book. My favorite character is Wolf 'n' Boots and my favorite part was the ending (which I can't tell you). My favorite illustration was the Big Bad Boar as a unicorn.

I really enjoyed reading “The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Boar.”  I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next!
