Silverlicious (Pinkalicious)
This book is brightly colored and entertaining. Silverlicous loses her tooth and asks the tooth fairy for a favor. She doesn’t get the tooth fairy at the beginning as she is busy. The moral is you don’t need candy to make you sweet. Zoey: “I learned from this story that you need to be sweet to everyone. That means be kind. I also learned we all have a sweet tooth- I’m not sure what that means. I liked the pictures and it was easy for me to read. The girl didn’t get what she asked for at first, but got it finally. You don’t always get what you want. It told me to be patient and be kind to everyone.” Nana: “Silverlicious” by Victoria Kann is a great story for teaching life lessons- you don’t always get what you want and to be kind to all. Zoey didn’t know about the “sweet tooth so she had a lot of questions about if that tooth made her kind. She did realize after reading this that she should be kind to everyone. |
