“Seekers: Kallik’s Adventure” by Erin Hunter is a graphic novel about two polar bear cubs Kallik and Taqqiq.  Kallik and Taqqiq go out exploring and befriend a seal they call Muddy.  A few days later they went back out to play with their friend but could not find him.  They called and they called for him.  When they were searching, from behind the rocks came a very big and very mad walrus.  The cubs ran like crazy, and the walrus lumbered after them.  The walrus trapped them in their den, causing a lot of snow to fall into the den and burying the cubs.  Will the cubs survive?  You will have to read it to find out.

I liked the illustrations.  I could tell the cubs’ emotions from the pictures.

This graphic novel is based on the Seekers novels by Erin Hunter (she also wrote the Warriors series which is about cats).  For people who don’t want to read the long novels, the graphic novels are a big hit.

I would recommend “Seekers: Kallik’s Adventure” to my friends.  It was a very quick but satisfying book to read.
