“The Hellandback Kids: Be Careful What You Wish For” by L. L Helland is the story of the four Hellandback siblings: Chris, Trisha, Brittany, and Jon.  When they went to visit their great-grandmother in Scotland, they didn’t expect to be sucked into a great adventure involving creatures called Bundlebobs and vampires.  The sleeping arrangement in the hospital-turned-house of their Granmama was a little odd.  Chris got the operating room, Trisha got the chapel, Brittany got the quarantine room, and Jon got the administrative office.  That night they were each transferred to a “dream dimension” that warned them of what could happen later in life.  But the “dream dimensions” weren’t all fun and games, they were deadly.  Will the Hellandback kids survive the night?  
 
Brittany went to sleep and found herself in England during the bubonic plague.  She was helping in a hospital full of the rats that carried the fleas that spread the plague.  Jon found himself in “the corporate world” full of people who looked like what they were.  For example, Mr. Mole was a short hairy man who looked like a mole and was reported to be a spy for another company.  Both of these situations are deadly.  Can Brittany and Jon survive the dangers of their dreams?

Chris found himself beyond a wall of ice with several short, hairy, green creatures called Bundlebobs.  They begged him to crack the ice wall and release them from their exile.  Chris did, and they were thrust into the cold world of the Bundlebobs.  Trisha found herself in an extravagant house and courting a man called Godfrey.  Later Trisha had been taken by Godfrey to see his house and meet some of his friends.  But little did Trisha know, but Godfrey would suck the life from her.  Will Chris freeze in his icy world, and will Trisha have the life sucked from her?

I would recommend “The Hellandback Kids: Be Careful What You Wish For” to people who like stories that involve characters that have life-changing adventures in their dreams.  This book had a very original plot line that combined many different things to form an interesting story.  Sometimes I found the train of thought a little hard to follow and some of the sentences a little choppy.   It was a relatively quick read and I finished it soon after I started it.
