“Dirk Bones and the Mystery of the Haunted House” is a Stage 1- Beginning Reading book from the “I Can Read!” series of books.

Cayden:  “I like scary books and I love mysteries!  This book has a lot of words that I already know and I learned some new ones too!  I liked the pictures in the book, especially the ones of the ghosts.”

Parent’s comments:

“Dirk Bones and the Mystery of the Haunted House” by Doug Cushman has a lot of familiar short words and easy concepts to help aid those children just starting out reading.  Although there are many words on each page (in some cases 50+), my son found that he knew most of them and was very proud that he was able to read a book that had “so many words.”
