“This book was kind of strange.  It was all a bunch of letters from animals to Tabby asking what they should do.  One of them said that their owner keeps giving them sardines and they don’t like them.  They even put a sardine in the letter for Tabby.  That was probably a smelly letter with that fish in there.  Then Tabby writes back and tells them what to do.  My favorite animal is the parrot who talks a lot.  He keeps talking and talking and talking.  I liked the end of the book the best.”

Parent’s comments:

I had to explain to my son how the book was written as he didn’t quite grasp the concept at first.  Once I explained the letter writing back and forth to him he thought the letters were funny and enjoyed the book.  “Dear Tabby” is a creative and unique book that I think pet lovers will find amusing.
