Cayden’s comments:

“This book is about two porcupines.  The baby porcupine is cleaning himself like a cat does and he feels that he has sharp quills on him.  The other porcupine shows him all of the things that he can do with his quills so that he knows.  My favorite part of the book is when the bear sneaks up behind them.  I saw him sneaking up on a couple of pages but they didn’t see him until he was right there.

I learned a lot about porcupines.  I haven’t ever seen one but Anna (our dog) got porcupine quills in her face one day from sniffing one.  That was a bad mistake.  I liked the part at the end that showed how to draw a porcupine.”

Parent’s comments:

“Kazaak!” is a fun and educational book about porcupines.  My son and I learned everything that a porcupine can do with his quills.  We also enjoyed the additional information provided at the end of the book.
