“The Third Side” by Natalie and Melissa Black, is the story of four seventeen-year-old friends, Eric, Vanessa, Dylan, and Alex.  Suddenly sucked from their homes, the four are forced to go on a dangerous quest to find a stolen relic.  But will they survive their dangerous adventure into the wilderness of a foreign reality?

After being forcibly taken from their homes into a different world, the four friends found themselves in an alternate world where they must fight for justice.  After the queen of a crumbling kingdom was assassinated and the blame put on the kids, they were forced to flee and find a stolen relic that they could use to return home.  Will the friends be able to find the relic or will they be stuck in a hostile world forever?

The book was written from the perspectives of two of the characters.  That made things interesting because you would get two different, possibly opposite, views on various things.    The writing style was very descriptive, but left a little lacking with the plot.

I would recommend “The Third Side” by Natalie and Melissa Black to people who like adventure books.  The book had a good fantasy element to it and also had some action.  This is the second book in a series written by two teen sisters.  They did a really great job with this book and I hope that they continue to write.
