“She Doesn’t Want the Worms/ Ella no quiere los gusanos” is written in English and Spanish and includes a pronunciation guide in the beginning.

Max’s comments:

“I think the person wrote the English part of the book using a crayon because that is what it looks like.  The other words look like normal words in books, those are the Spanish ones.

I like that the girl doesn’t want to eat any of the things that they give her.  I wouldn’t eat a spider, or a worm, or a snail either.  Those things don’t sound very good.

My favorite part of the book was the last page with the plate with everything on it.  I liked when the book said to go on the computer and see if there was real food on the plate.  That was fun!”

Parent’s comments:

My son enjoyed “She Doesn’t Want the Worms/ Ella no quiere los gusanos” and liked the “secret” ending that we had to look up online at the publisher’s website.  The only thing is that it did take a little bit to figure out where to go on the website to see the answer to the question on the last page of the book.  I thought by clicking on the picture of the book itself on the website that it would lead us to the information, but that was not the case.  I think if it was me, I would make it a little more clear where to go on the website.
