“The Immortal Archives: Ordained” by Devon Ashley is the story of Abby, a vampire who must defeat a demon and save the world. When a demon named Morphus broke loose from his prison, Abby had to stop him. Ever since Abby was born she had been destined to stop him, or else be reincarnated and start the whole process over again. To bring about the epic battle destined to happen, Abby went to the headquarters of the Order, an organization dedicated to the destruction of vampires. But with danger lurking at every turn, can Abby defeat Morphus? Can she keep her vampire-ness secret?
When at the Order, Abby met a young Hunter named Emily. The two got along perfectly. Although Abby really wanted to leave the Order, Emily convinced her that it would be better for everyone if she were to stay. But is this the right decision? Danger lurks everywhere and if Abby dies, the world ends. Will Abby be able to save the world from Morphus?
Soon after arriving at the Order, Abby wanted to leave. She remembered many things that the Order had done to her as a child that had finally caused her to snap and kill several high ranking Order members. The Order didn’t like her being there any more than she did. They shunned her and wanted her to leave. But she didn’t. Both parties knew that if Abby where to leave, trouble would follow. Morphus-size trouble...
I would recommend this book to people who like action books that center around a vampire character. It was a fun book with a lot of excitement, but it had a decent amount of swearing and most of the characters were in their twenties or older. The book flowed quickly and I finished the book soon after I started it.
