The Kingdom of Snozz is northeast of Dreamland and due south of Oz. The peasants are pleasant, the days are sunny, and the fat bumble-cows produce sweet milk and honey. The kings are all different yet each one the same, bound together by noses that are largely the same. Each king has his own trait that makes him unique, though it’s not in the size of their rather large beaks. When King Snozzle the eighth marries Noreen the Nurse he makes it quite clear he wants to end the nose curse! He marries for love, for kindness and devotion, though the entire kingdom is upset at the notion. It’s a book full of humor and laughter and plenty of fun that makes this book great for anyone!

Madison’s thoughts:

“Hailey thought the sun was Sponge Bob! I wanted to know how they would kiss with such big noses.

Everybody has a really long, long nose. They have big fat bumble-cows that make honey and milk. There is a sweaty, sloppy, stinky King. The king’s nose didn’t fit on the money but he could smell fires and toots! The third king had a bird on his nose! The fifth king could smell tracks and criminals. Sometimes he was wrong and Granny went to jail, aww poor granny! The eighth king met Noreen the nurse who was kind and nice and he married her! He married her because she was sweet. They had a baby with big ears!

It was so friendly! I love, love, love it. It was funny. I liked the pictures, they were silly. I learned bumble-cows aren’t real. I want to go to England and meet a King. We don’t have a King. I think my friends would like the book too.”

Hailey also had a few thoughts:

“It was great! I like the pictures. I like to read it again and again.”

Mom’s thoughts:

This book was a wonderfully hilarious book. It was easy to read with its rhyming stanzas and interesting storyline. Both of my daughters have asked to read it over and over. The illustrations are perfect for the book. They are funny, easy to understand and relate the story without reading the words. It is a book fit for children and their adult counterparts alike. Both of my daughters had plenty of opinions and comments throughout the book. They were very perceptive and inquisitive and laughed often. I enjoyed reading this book with them. It has become one of our favorite silly stories.

I would recommend “King Snozzle of Snozz” for children 2 to 6-years of age. I’m sure many parents will also enjoy the book as well.
